Dial-GateDial-Gate is a carrier-class VoIP softswitch billing solution for voice and data applications. The softswitch application is based on open standards such as SIP and provides a rich, highly customizable communication platform. Its programmable routing intelligence and support of network-calling plans can be assigned to endpoints in order to filter calls. Dial-Gate translates standard telephone numbers into their corresponding IP addresses and looks for available VoIP gateways or domains to place calls through to the PSTN. It functions as a softswitch by giving an integrated control point for various telephony services. The Dial-Gate billing solution provides real time monitoring, pre/post paid billing, rate/route table management, and CDR report generation.  Dial-Gate is fully integrated with MS Exchange supplying the user with voicemail unification, instant messaging and video communication.

Dial-Gate Components & Modules
Dial-Gate is comprised of several integral components; the SIP Proxy, Registrar, & Presence server Dial-Manager and the SIP IVR server Dial-Media.  These components allow real-time communication over IP networks and enable features such as seamless voicemail and media services (call park, call relay, presence) and an IVR for voicemail and auto attendant.   Also included are the Dial-Gate database and an easy-to-use OA&M web interface.  Dial-Gate is designed to allow complete control from a Web GUI application (Dial-Watch) via a Web browser, integrating the full function of a high-end calling card switch from provisioning to invoicing.

Add-On Modules
Enhanced features offered as add-on modules will provide you with everything you need to ensure the highest quality customer service.  These include:

  • Dynamic IP-Tone functionalities with time saving features such as unified voicemail, 3way conferencing, caller ID, & account/mailbox management via the web
  • A powerful hosted call shop billing application with which an unlimited number of call shop (s) can be managed remotely. The call shop services are “rented” out to call shop owners or internet cafés, who do not have the means to buy a billing system. Each client receives a preconfigured SIP terminal (IP phone or analog telephone adapter) that once connected to the call shop internet, will auto-register to the ISP or centralized call shop server (Dial-Gate).  As an owner of both the hosted call shop software module and the Dial-Gate billing server, the administrator establishes the rates and routing tables per location, configures telephone booths/softphones/SIP terminals, and creates invoices.
  • Plus a reliable softphone dialler (Dial-Talk), call relay (RTP and STUN) services, a AAA RADIUS billing platform (Dial-AAA), and failover support.

Proprietary VoIP Billing System
The billing system (Dial-Manager) provides an administrator with the ability to generate subscriber & prepaid calling card accounts and to monitor call logs, live data & pending calls. Its statistics module generates comprehensive report logs such as completed/failed calls and cost versus sales.  Dial-Gate manages many diverse types of billing accounts, providing multiple business options with enormous growth potential:

  • Prepaid Calling Cards: The provider generates PIN numbers for calling cards; end-users receive services for the amount on the card. The system keeps track of the balance, reducing it according to the calling usage. Once the balance is null, the card is rendered invalid.
  • Prepaid/Postpaid Subscribers: The provider generates prepaid or postpaid billing accounts. The postpaid subscribers calls are monitored and billed in real-time according to the predefined criteria set by the administrator or agents. 
  • Wholesale (ITSP): With Dial-Gate’s advanced billing and least-cost routing system, service providers can partner with carriers who in-turn can terminate and/or originate calls to and/or from other carriers. The billing system authenticates and authorizes calls from the carrier’s gateway or softswitch and records the call information for billing purposes (CDR).
  • Agent: The service provider assigns a rate plan to an agent.  Based on this plan the agent can create his own rate plan and define his own margins. He can register his own subscribers within the Dial-Gate database and assign each a different pricing plan. The subscribers will be visible only to the agent, giving him the freedom to manage his own business without the expense of owning any equipment.
