IT Mission: Six Québec Companies Discover Boston
Thursday, November 4th 2014
On November 13th, six Québec IT companies took part in a two-day trade mission in Boston organized by the Québec Government Office in Boston and Export Québec.
The participating companies took part in seminars on doing business in the United States. They also attended networking activities and toured various incubator spaces, such as WeWork and the Canadian Technology Accelerator.
The participants also attended the Mass Technology Leadership Council’s Unconference, an iterative mashup of thought leaders, experts, and budding entrepreneurs. Québec companies had the opportunity to sit in on sessions of both technical and business development interest to them, as well as network with local companies.
Mary Beth Totten, Commercial Officer at DQB, said she looks “forward to working with the six companies that participated in the mission as they further their businesses in New England. They all show great potential for the US market”. She also mentioned that she is “sure we will be seeing a lot more of them locally”.
