SALES REPRESENTATIVE This position will report to the Marketing Director and be responsible for generating new business.
Main Functions Sales of integrated communication systems for small and medium size enterprises (IP- PBX with unified messaging) General Criteria - Minimum of 5 years experience in software and telecommunications industry
- Experience in selling high tech products (software or PBX)
- French and English, spoken and written
- Strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned sales targets
- Prospect, cold call and develop new customer relationships
- Manage accounts via geographic territory (may include both CAN and US territories)
- Assess customer needs, objections, and constraints
- Timely follow-up of leads generated through various marketing actions
- Attend and assist at periodic trade shows (USA & overseas) to help promote products
- Gather competitive intelligence
- Market and leverage vendor/distribution partnerships to ensure best value and pricing for customers
- Keep updated on product and industry knowledge
Requirements - Results oriented, self-motivated, competitive, driven by the challenge of generating new business and the rewards that come with successful sales
- Positive personality, friendly, upbeat
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills
- Track record of constant improvement in sales and revenue growth
- Effective prospecting skills with 2-3 years sales experience in cold calling and prospecting environment
- Excellent spoken and written English and French
- Candidates with knowledge of telephone systems, LANs, software licensing and/or data communications are preferred
Mobility
- The position is based in Montreal, with business travel outside of Montreal. Business travel may be within the metropolitan area as well as at client sites in Canada and internationally.
